It is a global platform created with a heartfelt mission—to generate funds for researchers which will ultimately lead to a cure for pancreatic cancer while also saving over 60,000 lives a year.

Dan Mears

iPlaid is a personal initiative inspired by my late husband, Dan Mears, who was lost to pancreatic cancer. While grieving, I created a plaid design on my iPad, naming it iPlaid to honor both Dan and Steve Jobs, another victim of this disease. The name stands for “Intuitive Passion Launches an Inner Discovery” and symbolizes hope, resilience, and purpose. iPlaid’s mission is to raise awareness and funds for pancreatic cancer research, support patients and families, and honor those we’ve lost. Together, we can turn iPlaid into a powerful symbol of progress in the fight against this devastating disease.
